There are some wonderful things to do and places to visit locally…
Burghley House & its sixteenth-century country estate, Tolethorpe Hall with Shakespeare throughout the summer, Rutland Water for water sports, cycling, fishing & birdwatching (amongst other thriving bird colonies, the reservoir is home to the first Ospreys to breed in England for 150 years).
Vibrant local villages and towns are close by, including stunning Stamford that has been rated the best place to live by The Sunday Times! The Guardian thinks it’s nice too…
2017 marked the 50th anniversary of Stamford’s award as the UK’s first conservation town. Adding to its wonderful charm, a successful Georgian Festival has been organised for 3 years now. We’re looking forward to another!
